The St. Regis Doha announced that 6 of its culinary experts got awarded 5 bronze medals and 1 silver medal at Salon Culinaire held at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre recently. The competition showcased the crème de la crème of Qatar’s culinary scene with more than 268 participants competing in 27 categories.
This year’s Bronze medal winners include Ibrahim Abdalla from commissary in the ‘Creative Arabic Mezza’, Jerres Ramac from Sarab Lounge, the finest tea lounge in Qatar in ‘Wedding Cake Creation’, Nishan De Silva from Hakkasan, the award-winning Chinese Restaurant in ‘Four Plates of Dessert’ and Fazmi Faizar from pastry team in ‘Plated Dessert’. Ramesh Galgana from Astor Grill, the legendary steakhouse in Qatar received 3 different awards – The bronze medal in ‘Live Cooking Signature Beef Dish’, the silver medal in ‘Live Cooking Signature Fish Dish’ and the ‘Best Hygiene Award’.

The Executive Committee Team of the hotel offered each winner an appreciation certificate along with a special gift voucher to use in one of The St. Regis Doha’s restaurants.
