Outdoor brunch in this heat?!

Yes! That’s precisely what awaits guests at the Summer Brunch in Curiosa by Jean-Georges at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

But before you start stepping back and raising your eyebrows, let me assure you that the entire restaurant, including its outdoor terrace, is thoughtfully air-conditioned, providing guests with the utmost comfort and convenience while enjoying their meal outside, overlooking the sparkling sea and the gentle rustling of palm trees.

It’s a one-of-a-kind dining experience this summer that combines the best of both worlds – the tropical vibes and the cool oasis of the restaurant.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the food! The Curiosa Summer Brunch offers a Latin-family style feast, infused with Jean Georges’ signature flair. Not only is it a culinary delight, but it is also offered at a lower price compared to the regular Friday Brunch, at just QAR299 per person for the regular package and an additional QAR100 for the enhanced package.

The menu is thoughtfully divided into four delectable courses, each brimming with tempting choices.

To kick things off, the cold starters included mouthwatering options such as jalapeño corn bread with sour cream, refreshing guacamole with tomato salsa and warm crunchy tortillas, zesty ceviche featuring the catch of the day with lime, sweet potato, and chulpe corn, and the delectable creamy burrata with strawberry compote, basil, and grilled sourdough.

No matter how tempting, we tried not to get too stuffed because the hot starters included spiced beef empanadas with celery root and tomato salsa, the crispy goodness of fish tacos with aioli and cabbage chilli pickle, and the delightful corn and jalapeño fritters served with truffle mayonnaise.

As for the mains, we had the succulent roasted black seabass accompanied by crispy potato and red chilli lime sauce, and the flavourful rib eye served with chimichurri. Providing a balance to the meal was the roasted cauliflower with turmeric tahini, za’atar, date molasses, pomegranate, and pistachio and crispy sweet potato topped with feta cheese and garlic chilli crunch.

To sweeten things up, we were treated with heavenly cinnamon churros served with hot fudge and pineapple cajeta, the indulgent warm vanilla fritters paired with Mexican chocolate, the delightful tres leches cake garnished with tropical fruit and coconut sorbet, and the refreshing seasonal popsicles featuring strawberry vanilla, chocolate raspberry, coconut passion fruit, mango and chilli flavours.

If you opt for the enhanced package, they have a selection of refreshing cocktails like grapefruit margarita, ginger margarita, and caipirinha, or seasonal sangria. For beer and wine lovers, they’ve got a variety of sparkling, wines and spirits to choose from as well. The restaurant manager recommended a special beverage that is not on the menu. Ask him about it!

With a lively atmosphere and music playing in the background, the Summer Brunch at Curiosa by Jean-Georges is a fantastic brunch affair, blending mouthwatering flavours, cool ambience, and great company. So, step out and savour the summer with this incredible outdoor brunch adventure!
