A summer camp is a supervised programme for children and/or teenagers conducted during the summer months. In the early years of the 20th century, these camps provided a chance for kids to escape the urban life and learn about the great outdoors.

These days, summer camps provide not so much an escape from modern life, but an opportunity for kids to pursue their special interests in subjects that are not given much focus in school. With the challenges of lockdowns and online learning in the past two years, this season’s camps will not just be a simple break for kids, but a time to reestablish connections with the outside world.

Please note that summer camps in Qatar vary in terms of focus and length. Many have specialised age groupings and limited slots to make sure that participants get maximum value for their time. More details about these camps are available from the organisers’ websites.
