Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) has announced that Tadmur Holding, a diversified Qatari conglomerate, is once again the official sponsor of Qatar Sustainability Awards 2018, the second year in a row that the company is sponsoring the awards.
Qatar Sustainability Awards is organised by QGBC, a member of Qatar Foundation (QF). It aims to recognise the efforts, commitment, and contributions of individuals and organisations that promote sustainable development and environmental protection in Qatar and beyond.
At least 24 categories were identified to cover areas eligible for the awards: green building, green hospitality, green service providers, building products and technologies, green research and sustainability initiatives. The awards are open to government, business, and non-profit organisations. Deadline for submission of applications is 27 September. A shortlist of candidates will be announced on 16 October following an expert jury review of nominations.
