TED (technology, entertainment and design) started in 1984 as a one-off conference and has since evolved into TEDx, a movement that encourages communities, organisations and individuals from around the world to organise their own events and create ideas worth spreading.

tedx-logojpeg-phixrTEDxSummit 2012 will be hosted by DFI (Doha Film Institute) from Monday 16th to Tuesday 20th April. The weeklong conference will see over 600 TEDx organisers, innovators and boundary-pushers. The Summit plans to expand the global reach of the TEDx community and create a platform for sharing concepts and practices.
