Qatar is getting ready to welcome the return of the second annual conference to be held by [email protected] at Virginia Commonwealth University of Qatar (VCUQatar) on Thursday 17 November. The youth-led group, which has announced its list of sponsors ranging from sustainability and accessibility partners to catering and AV sponsors, is set to deliver a conference that is gathering immense interest.
Uzair Mohammad, Chief Curator at [email protected], finds both community and corporate support for the event to be a sign that youth are becoming a central focus across the country: ‘When you speak of a national vision, there is no doubt that a central focus must be the youth of the country. In Qatar, the national strategy of moving towards a knowledge-based economy has been embraced by both the people of the nation and the companies that operate within it. Our sponsors and partners support of our volunteer-run annual conference for youth is a testament to that fact – and our organisation team for one, is delighted at their kind gesture.’
This year, [email protected] is joined by Qatar Foundation as a Knowledge Partner, by Maersk Oil as a Principal Sponsor, and Doha Bank as a Support Sponsor. Other sponsors of the event include Averda, Mada (Qatar Assistive Technology Centre), Wyndham Grand Regency, Tasmeem Flowers and Chocolates, and Pro Screen Broadcast & Media Solutions.
[email protected] aims to bring forth those voices from the younger generation and inspiring adults who are having an impact in their community. The work [email protected] does throughout the year would not be possible without the support of a whole host of other partner organisations and groups.
