qatar-pro-wrestling-qpwThe first Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW) world championship will be held at Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall from Thursday 3 October to Saturday 5 October 2013.

The three-day event, organised by QPW in co-operation with Hyatt Plaza and Global Entertainments, will feature well-known wrestlers including Bobby Lashley, Carlito, Big V, Alofa, Chris Raaber, Chris Master, Michael Kovac, Johnny Moss, Rene Dupree, Shehab al Mossa and Matt Cross. QPW has appointed the former CEO and founder of event management firm Golden Relations, Bilal Taha, as the championship’s co-ordinator and adviser.

Bob Lashley and Carlito are some of the two most popular wrestlers in the world. Franklin Roberto ‘Bobby’ Lashley is an American mixed martial artist, actor, and former collegiate amateur wrestler as well as a former professional wrestler. During his professional wrestling career, he was best known for his time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he was a one-time United States Champion and a two-time world champion, having had two reigns as ECW World Champion. Carlito, who’s real name is Carly Colon, is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler. Colón debuted in the World Wrestling Council (WWC), becoming a 13-time WWC Universal Heavyweight Champion.During the early years of his career, he made appearances for the X Wrestling Federation, Funking Conservatory and World Wrestling Entertainment RAW, winning his first international championship for the second.

The wrestlers would have to go through numerous rounds over the three days to win the QPW world title belt. The belt is currently on display at Hyatt Plaza, giving all wrestling fans the opportunity to have a closer look at the coveted title. The preliminary rounds will be held on Thursday 3 October and Friday 4 October 2013, followed by the finals on Saturday 5 October 2013.
