One of the perks of being a resident in Qatar is being able to eat and socialise with friends at Education City Golf Club’s imaginative and creative restaurant, Green.
Entering from the busy streets of Doha and Al Rayyan, you feel immediately relaxed by the calm atmosphere of Education City. You’re soon at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Aptly named Green, and with both indoor and outdoor balcony seating and fantastic panoramic views of the expansive golfing greens, you’ll love seeing the myriad varieties of trees, bushes and shrubs interwoven with pretty colourful flowers.

Green offers a casual yet family-friendly dining experience to refresh and unwind in a relaxing atmosphere. Operated by Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, Green offers delicious international-style dishes from salads to sandwiches, sushi combos to vegetarian options, desserts and drinks. Pop in for a bite to eat and the friendly informative staff, led by Harlene the Restaurant Manager, will make you feel right at home. Plus, it’s a great place to start your weekend, as the breakfast menu has everything from a classic or vegan breakfast to eggs benedict and dosas.
Even the drinks look great. Especially if you like green! Try the Lemon with Mint; if you weren’t fully awake when you arrived you’ll be fully conscious now. And one drink, Peanut Berry Power, has so many healthy ingredients it’s literally bursting with goodness and energy. And it’s lips-lickin’ delicious, too. Highly recommended.
The choice of food from four continents should be enough to please all tastes; cooked to perfection, the dishes are arranged, decorated and dressed, as beautiful to behold as satisfying to taste. The Eggs Benedict and The Scotsman were such a gratifying blend of protein and vivacious vitamins – but it was a shame to spoil the presentation, a picture of perfection. As, indeed, was the sublime Shakshouka. Suffice to say, our compliments must go to Richard Ruiz, the chef, who has the amazing ability to make even a simple poached egg so attractive. With flowers! Tomatoes, too. Unbelievable!
