The New Mitsubishi Outlander: More Stylish and Better Performance
Qatar Automobiles Company, authorised distributor of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and FUSO in Qatar, announced that the new Mitsubishi Outlander is now available in Qatar.
The new Outlander is characterised by new styling, better performance and specialised traits that few of its rivals can match. The new Mitsubishi Outlander and a wide range of Mitsubishi vehicles are now available at the Mitsubishi Motors Showroom on Salwa Road and Al Khor.
The upgraded design of Mitsubishi Outlander is stylish, with changes on the front and rear exterior to give a more attractive appearance. Both bumpers, front and rear, are extended while the radiator grill is wider, with new headlamps featuring LED lighting for both the high and low beams. The LED fog lamps illuminate the road ahead with white light, while the Shark Fin Antenna adds a sporty look. The SUV is also equipped with different wheel options – 18- or 16-inch alloy wheels.
Driving the Outlander is a pleasurable experience heightened by high-quality craftsmanship. The ride is also extremely quiet, thanks to enhanced noise reduction measures that lower engine, road and wind noise.
No other car can beat the Outlander when it comes to seating arrangement. The second and third-row seats can be rearranged to accommodate any combination of passengers and luggage. You can even fold down all rear seats to create an extremely large and flat luggage area. The second-row seat sliding function also provides easy access to third-row seats. Padding and springs in the third-row seat cushions also add to passengers’ riding comfort. You can recline the seats to any of the four options available.
The Outlander is powered with an option for either one of two clean and efficient engines – the 2.4-litre MIVEC or the 3.0-litre V6 MIVEC. The two engines are extremely responsive and fuel efficient, while the high displacement V6 engine supplies powerful acceleration even when carrying heavy loads or travelling up steep inclines.
The engine is mated with an advanced CVT that automatically adjusts in response to changing road and vehicle conditions to deliver smooth, swift acceleration. It also offers outstanding fuel efficiency beyond what conventional automatic transmissions provide. Fully pressing the pedal now generates powerful response with the automatic transmission’s step-up shift.
Electronically controlled 4WD offers traction and stability even in challenging terrain by optimally combining with Active Stability Control (ASC). The Drive Mode Selector lets you select the most appropriate drive mode: 4WD ECO mode for maximum economy; 4WD AUTO mode for normal driving conditions; or 4WD LOCK mode for rough terrain.
The Mitsubishi Outlander follows high standards, and is equipped with state-of-the-art systems. The Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM) helps prevent a frontal collision or reduce damage if the collision becomes unavoidable.
The Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC) maintains distance between your vehicle and the car ahead via radar for greater safety, reducing driver stress especially during traffic jams on highways.
The Automatic High-Beam provides increased safety, comfort and driving ease at night. The high beams automatically switch to low beams when vehicles are detected ahead and automatically switch back to high beams, so you don’t have to remove your hand from the steering wheel to switch the beams manually.
The Blind Spot Warning feature uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to detect vehicles in your rear blind spots, both right and left sides. An indicator appears in the door mirror when BSW is active and turn signals are off. When a vehicle is detected while the turn signal is on, an indicator blinks in the corresponding door mirror and a buzzer sound.
An indicator appears in the combination metre display when the Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) is active. If radar sensors in the rear bumper detect an approaching vehicle nearby while reverse gear is engaged, a warning message appears in the multi-information display, a buzzer sounds and an indicator blinks in both door mirrors.
The monitor system allows views from cameras mounted on the front, rear and sides of the vehicle (including a bird’s-eye view) and can be displayed in various combinations to show the blind spots and help you park safely.
You can press a button on your keys to lock or unlock all doors and tailgate, as well as press switch on or stop the engine.
Controlling the audio system is also easy on the 6.1-inch QVGA touch-panel display. The USB port is conveniently located in the front panel, allowing easy access from both front seats. The Outlander also have a stunning audio system jointly developed with the Rockford Corporation, featuring nine speakers with spectacular DTS Neural Surround™ sound.
