Running concurrently to the COP18 conference, the Qatar Sustainability Expo (QSE) is a government, industry and NGO showcase of environmentally sustainable programmes, initiatives, plans and products, as well as an opportunity to hear expert speakers and panel discussions.

QSE will give 92 leading companies and government organisations the chance to exhibit their sustainability initiatives, including:

  • United Nations Environment Programme
  • Qatar Tourism Authority
  • Lusail/Qatari Diar, represented by their sustainability partner GORD (Gulf Organisation for Research and Development)
  • Qatar National Food Programme
  • Ministry of Environment, Friends of the Environment
  • Qatar Statistics Authority
  • Qatar Foundation, Qatar University
  • National Human Rights Commission
  • Representatives from the oil and gas sector

There will be daily events and attractions, where visitors can take part in interactive displays and discuss innovations with exhibitors – see the calendar for details.

And if that wasn’t enough:

  • The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will be playing daily from 6 pm
  • Qatar Tourism Authority will be staging traditional Qatari folklore dancing 4 pm – 9 pm
  • The Children’s Activity Dome will be open 5 pm – 9 pm
  • The food court will be open on weekdays 4 pm – 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 1 pm – 9pm, and will include tasty items from Loving Hut USA, the fastest growing international vegan restaurant and fast food franchise with more than 200 outlets worldwide
