Astor Grill, the New York Steak house located at the St. Regis Doha, is celebrating truffle season throughout the months of October and November. The award-winning restaurant will be incorporating the ‘diamonds of the kitchen’ in to three of its exquisite dishes showcasing the precious and rare delicacy.
The exclusive truffle menu features a black truffle risotto with organic poach egg and wild mushroom foam, a caramelized onion crusted braised rib served with herbal spinach, potato mousseline and truffle jus, and a stuffed poached pear with black truffle served with truffle ice cream.
The black jewels used in these dishes originates from Perigord, a natural region in France renowned globally renowned in the culinary industry of its for its fine truffle offerings
Cultivating this fine ingredient is not an easy process, as it is proven that truffle is difficult to attain.
