With a diverse culinary background and a passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences, Martin brings a wealth of international expertise to his role.

Born in Buenos Aires and hailing from a rich heritage of Italian and Basque ancestry, Martin was deeply influenced by his grandmothers’ traditional Italian and Basque cuisines. His culinary journey began in Argentina, where he honed his skills at the superior school of hotel and catering business before furthering his education at the University of New York.

With a thirst for culinary exploration, Martin embarked on a global odyssey, showcasing his talents in various countries across continents, including Ukraine, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, and Russia. A hallmark of his success lies in his ability to adapt his cuisine to local tastes, utilising local and organic ingredients to craft innovative dishes that resonate with guests.

Among his many accolades, Martin was honoured as a ‘Cultural & Gastronomic Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina’ – Chef ‘Marca Pais’ in 2015, during an official visit of the Minister of Tourism of Argentina to Moscow. His tenure as the Executive Chef of one of the most prestigious hotels in Moscow for over six years further solidified his reputation as a culinary visionary.

While his role at the St. Regis Hotel Moscow, Martin was a pivotal member of the prestigious Culinary Advisory for Marriott International, where he held the esteemed position of one of the Top 14 Executive Chefs. Notably, he was the sole chef representing the region in this elite group. This collective of 14 culinary experts, hailing from diverse corners of the globe, forms the Advisory Culinary team for Marriott International’s luxury brands. Together, they spearhead the development of innovative concepts and ideas, shaping the culinary landscape of luxury hospitality. Martin realised his longstanding dream by working at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Moscow, a prestigious establishment in Russia renowned for its excellence in hospitality.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, Martin now brings his culinary expertise to The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa, where he will lead the culinary team in crafting exceptional dining experiences for guests. Martin is committed to creating memorable moments for guests, embodying the ethos of hospitality with each dish he creates.
