The exciting Westin Doha United Nations of Golf will take place this weekend after a very successful event last year that saw over 165 participants.

The event is expected to attract over 200 golfers representing different countries in the community-led event that will see The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa play host to the players. The team format adds fun and variety to the golf tournament schedule in Qatar and each year, their following gets bigger.

The growing golf tourism in Qatar is seeing more travellers visiting Doha and these local initiatives and hosted events help engage recreational golfers in the region interested in visiting and competing in golf tournaments in Qatar.

This year we want to showcase our hospitality to golfers in Qatar. We look forward to welcoming all golfers to the tournament and look forward to crowning the winning team at the Westin.

Education City Golf Club General Manager Michael Braidwood said the tournament has far exceeded their expectations over the past year as they continually see more participants dressing up and taking the event seriously while also balancing the novel concept.

We aim to encourage the active participation of the community through our partnerships and competitions, and we appreciate all the support from Westin Doha.
