The inaugural World GTL Congress is being held in Doha 13–15 January 2013 at the St Regis Hotel under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum (QP). It will witness one of the industry’s largest ever assemblies of international experts and government representatives.
Organised by the International Quality & Productivity Center and hosted by Qatar Petroleum, the event will take place in an era when gas-to-liquids (GTL) is set to become the fuel of the future. It will also underline Qatar’s premier position within the global GTL industry.
Mr Ali Ahmed Ali Thani Al Suwaidi, Head of Events at QP, said:
The fact that the first-ever edition of this event will be held here in Doha effectively highlights the State of Qatar’s preeminent position as the world’s GTL capital. This also underscores the country’s leading role in further promoting the development of the industry as GTL products continue to be widely used worldwide.
