In cooperation with the Qatari-Palestinian Friendship association, the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara kicked off one of its much-awaited annual events recently, The Third Palestinian Heritage Festival, within Katara’s premises in the presence of the Katara Cultural Village General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, Palestinian Ambassador Monir Ghannam, Qatari-Palestinian Friendship Association Chairman Emad Abu Zalf, members of Doha’s VIP diplomatic missions and members of the media.

For ten consecutive days, the audience will enjoy cultural events, and dazzling performances that reflect the rich Palestinian heritage and enhances the knowledge and cultural communication between people from all walks of life.

Dabka performances, traditional food, vivid costumes, poetry evenings and literary seminars are just some of the highlights that await those looking forward to this extraordinary event. Dr Al-Sulaiti said they are confident that the festival will live up to the expectations of the visitors.

The festival also showcases an exhibition featuring Palestinian crafts and dishes, and traditional performance by the Al-Kofeya group. The inaugural night concluded with folk songs rendered by the renowned singer Rasha and her group.
