BINGE WATCH THIS:

We all (okay, maybe some of us) have that one item of clothing that we hold so dear no matter how old it is, probably because of its attached history or memory. This upcoming Netflix docu-series ‘Worn Stories’ will delve into that. Its eight episodes will feature ordinary people and the fascinating stories behind their most sentimental pieces of clothing. It is inspired by Emily Spivack’s best-selling book of the same name. This eye-opening docu-series will be streaming from 1 April.

GET THE POPCORN FOR THIS:

Idris Elba’s urban western ‘Concrete Cowboy’ will be riding its way onto Netflix this weekend. It follows 15-year-old Cole (Caleb McLaughlin), who discovers the world of urban horseback riding when his mother sends him to live with his estranged father, Harp (Elba) in North Philadelphia. The film by Ricky Staub is based on the real-life horsemen of the Pennsylvania area and the novel ‘Ghetto Cowboy’ from G. Neri. It first debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in September last year.

Gabriela Garcia’s ‘Of Women and Salt’ is dubbed by Vogue as ‘not your standard, sentimental immigrant story.’ This much-buzzed-about debut novel follows the story of Jeanette who journeyed to Cuba to reckon with her family’s legacy. From a 19th century Cuban cigar factory to a detention centre in Mexico, this stunningly accomplished first novel is both epic and intimate, as Oprah Daily mentioned. You can purchase the book here.

CRANK UP THE VOLUME FOR THIS:

American singer and actress Demi Lovato shares a dark and intimate part of her life through music. Her new album ‘Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over’ dropping on 2 April, follows the course of her life and the path it’s taken over the past few years. The album is the unofficial soundtrack to her documentary highlighting her struggles with addiction that led to three strokes and a heart attack. The album features 19 songs including Lovato’s first spoken interlude and collaborations with Ariana Grande and Noah Cyrus.
