BINGE WATCH THIS:

The venerated ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Killing Eve’ actress Sandra Oh is back as another strong, smart and self-sufficient woman in the new Netflix comedy The Chair, created by Amanda Peet and Annie Julia Wyman and produced by ‘Game of Thrones’ creators David Benioff and DB Weiss. Oh plays Ji-Hoon Kim, the embattled head of an unpopular English department at a fictional Ivy League university. She’s hoping for a more inclusive future at her college, but that optimism is quickly quashed by the realities and idiocies of modern academia. All six episodes are now streaming on Netflix.

GET THE POPCORN FOR THIS:

Classic teen movie ‘She’s All That’ is getting a reboot! This time, it’s gender-swapped and aptly titled ‘He’s All That’. The Netflix film premiering this Friday, 27 August, stars TikTok star Addison Rae and Cobra Kai’s Tanner Buchanan. Rae plays influencer Padgett, who gives a makeover to her antisocial classmate Cameron played by Buchanan. Two actors from the original movie, Rachael Leigh Cook and Matthew Lillard, returned for the remake with new roles.

SETTLE IN WITH A CUP OF TEA AND READ THIS:

Staging a production of Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well was supposed to be Miranda Fitch’s comeback from her life’s tragedy: her marriage is over and she’s addicted to painkillers after a serious injury which also ended her acting career. But when her cast revolts, her job as a college theatre director was put hanging by a thread. So when a mysterious trio offers her the chance to get her revenge — on her actors, the play, and everyone who ever distrusted her — how can Miranda possibly say no? Follow Miranda’s story in Mona Awad’s newest novel All’s Well.

CRANK UP THE VOLUME FOR THIS:

If you are looking for some indie folk songs to add to your playlist, here is Big Red Machine’s How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? The album, which is the second studio album by the American indie duo, is built around themes of childhood, familial dynamics and mental health. The album is a collaborative effort, featuring guest vocals from an array of artists including Taylor Swift.
