The popular weekend market is back! Torba Farmers Market is back at Qatar Foundation at the Ceremonial Court in Education City, with the best in organically-grown produce, locally-prepared food and beverages, and sustainable products.

Held in collaboration with Qatar Foundation and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Torba Farmers Market has become a permanent fixture on calendars of people eager to promote local farmers and vendors, and encourage people to live healthy and sustainable lives.

With options that include food and beverages prepared to order on the premises, locally-grown fresh fruits, vegetable, and herbs to purchase, and local dishes to try, the market has succeeded in enhancing awareness of the way farm produce are grown, sold, and consumed in Qatar.

This year, the market is also hosting a planting festival during the months of November and December to encourage the community learn how to grow plants, provide tips on how to create and use compost, and hold a beginner’s workshop creating a home garden.

A sitting area – featuring newly re-surfaced benches and tables designed by students from VCUarts Qatar,  and a small play area for children, will allow families to make the most of the event. Returning visitors will also be impressed with the new wares on offer, which include among others, household products and stationeries.

Torba Farmers Market is open on Fridays from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 5 pm; and on Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm. It will run until April 2019, with a short break in December.
