The second edition of Katara Arts forum, entitled transformation of the Arabic arts inaugurated on Monday at the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara with the presence of HE Dr Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager.
Speaking on the occasion, the general manager of Katara said:
Hosting the event for the second consecutive year is aligned to the vision of the Cultural Village Foundation at spreading awareness about the cultural movement that contributes at encouraging creative potentials. Katara as a cultural edifice and meeting place for artists and intellectuals, leaves no stone unturned in the provision of all the required factors that enhance the creativity and excellence and relate the Arabic arts to its roots and collective identity.’
Discussion of the first session focused on the transformation of Arabic artistic institutions, Arab art market between transformation polarisation and industry and art critic and historians.
While the second session of the forum has revolved on trend controversy and artistic groups, Arab art market between transformation polarisation and industry and transformation in the history of Arabic art.
