Second Annual Discover America Week Hosted by U.S. Embassy and AmCham Qatar
The U.S. Embassy, in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce Qatar, will launch the second annual ‘Discover America Week Qatar 2016’ on 15–22 February 2016 to celebrate the U.S. – Qatar partnership.

Simaisma, a Murwab Resort, finally opened its doors to the public, unveiling an exciting new destination for local guests and global travellers visiting Qatar. The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa Opens
Starwood Hotels & Resorts, announced the opening of The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa. Located in the heart of the capital, the hotel marks Westin’s debut in Qatar and further expands the brand’s portfolio to four properties across the Middle East.
Starwood opens the hotel with Ghanem Al Thani Holdings, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Ghanem bin Ali Al Thani, who have been pioneers in Doha and opened their first hotel in the Bin Mahmoud neighbourhood in 1979. The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa is at the forefront of the revitalisation of Downtown Doha.

Qatar Museums Displays New Art Installations at Hamad International Airport
Qatar Museums (QM), under the patronage of its Chairperson, Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Hamad International Airport (HIA) are proud to announce the unveiling of a number of new public art installations at the airport by both Qatari and international artists: ‘Arctic Nurseries of El Dorado‘ by British artist Marc Quinn, and ‘Untitled‘ by Italian artist Rudolf Stingel at the airport.
White Night in the Desert by Arabian Adventures Qatar Features The Doha String Quartet
Arabian Adventures Qatar (AAQ), the pioneer inland tour company in Qatar, organises White Night in the Desert featuring The Doha String Quartet. After a successful White Night in the Desert a couple of years ago, the group will once again serenade the guests at Arabian Adventures Qatar’s traditional camp in Khor Al Udeid on 12 February, 2016. There will be special performances by Qatari singer Dana Alfardan and Maias Almayani.
