Turkish Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines, the largest airlines and flag carriers of their respective countries, announced this week the enhancement of their current codeshare agreement with additional destinations from both their flight networks. Both are Star Alliance members.

Through this enhanced partnership, Turkish Airlines and LOT will reciprocally add their flight codes on these flights in addition to Istanbul-Warsaw:

From Warsaw: Krakaw, Gdansk, Szczecin, Poznan, Wroclaw, Katowice, Rzeszow
From Istanbul: Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya, Dalaman, Amman, Cairo, Bahrain, Beirut, Baghdad, Dubai, Kuwait, Budapest, Johannesburg

According to Turkish Airlines Deputy Chairman and CEO Bilal Ekşi, they are glad to include new destinations into their codeshare agreement with LOT Polish Airlines. He thanked Rafal Milczarski and his team and their team from Turkish Airlines for making the agreement possible. He said that without a doubt, the agreement will help increase the commercial and tourism ties of their countries. We have been in mutually beneficial relationship and close cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines for a long time. We believe that this enhancement will improve our already good relations and take our commercial cooperation to the next level. With the introduction of joint flights on several destinations in Poland, Turkey, Middle East and Africa, passengers will enjoy more travel alternatives through the combined flights.’

Joint flights will offer fast and convenient connections for customers leaving Istanbul, the biggest Turkish city and also an important flight hub in the world, to Warsaw and beyond.

Milczarski said they are very pleased with the enhanced codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines that he said, hopefully will further strengthen their mutually beneficial cooperation. LOT Polish Airlines is one of the most dynamically developing carriers in Central and Eastern Europe. He also expressed his thanks to the Turkish Airlines team.

Passengers will also enjoy domestic and international connections from Istanbul. Taking into account the complementary structure of timetables of both carriers and agreement working reciprocally, it will allow both their customers to enjoy seamless connectivity in their respective hubs.

LOT Polish Airlines and Turkish Airlines passengers will also benefit from accruing and redeeming miles in their respective loyalty programmes –  Miles&More and Miles&Smiles – on all flights in both carriers.
