Four and One simultaneously opened two exciting festivals this Wednesday at Hotel Park Doha.

The first editions of both the Xtreme Sports Festival (XSF) and the Kids and Schools Edutainment Festivals (KSEF) will run until Saturday, 3 March with fascinating and diverse range of information and adrenalin entertainment.

Xtreme Sports Festival

XSF, the largest of its kind in Doha, saw young riders from all over the world competing in the opening heats of their discipline that included BMX, skateboarding, roller blading, wakeboarding and general free style manoeuvers.

Four and One Chairman Omran Al Sherawi said they were proud to organise the first edition of the festival which is aimed at further boosting sports in Qatar.

Xtreme Sports are becoming more popular in Qatar and the following is increasing at an encouraging rate. It’s exciting to watch the athletes defy gravity. You can see them expressing their inner physical capabilities in an attempt to assert their skill and dominance.’

Four and One CEO Fernando De Guama reiterated the chairman’s words. He said that the festival is a first of its kind in Qatar and is part of a concerted plan to develop business and tourism in Qatar.

Watching the competitors throwing themselves and their machines in the air is quite extreme. They take high risks and put their safety on the line to claim supremacy. I’m sure young kids are inspired by the skill and ability on display.’

Kids and Schools Edutainment Festival

The Kids and School Edutainment Festival provided a premier venue for parents and kids looking for potential schools. The schools who joined the festival gave parents an opportunity to shift through the maze of education decisions.

The KSEF kept kids busy at bay with more than 35 exhibitors providing educational activities on the side – non-stop readings on multiple stages, cooking demos by celebrity chefs, poetry readings and workshops, panel discussions, walking tours, storytellings, hands-on projects for kids, street theatre, live music, inflatable entertainment, and a delicious variety of food and beverages.

De Guama said that KSEF has presented itself as a strong and effective marketing platform for schools.

Rather than wait for a school open day, we thought it best to bring them under one location. Being away from the school premises, we hope that parents and school representatives can better communicate on profiling children and facilities.’

The fun, hip, smart and diverse festivals are proudly sponsored by Corona, Bambo Nature, QCP, Bedaya, Qatar Living, XTork, Urban Point, Talabat, Zomato, Marhaba, Radio Olive, and QTouch Media. The event is open until Saturday, from 3 pm until 11 pm.
