Swiss International School (SISQ) has been recognised for its commitment to helping pupils stay safe online for two consecutive years!

SISQ has again successfully completed a comprehensive online safety training programme demonstrating its commitment to keeping children and young people safe online. Specifically, as an IB continuum school, it received a National Online Safety Certified School Accreditation for Academic Year 2021-2022 for the whole school community approach to protecting children in the online world.

National Online Safety (NOS) is a multi-award winning digital training provider with extensive resources in online safety developed in line with the UK Department of Education’s statutory requirements. These accredited courses and educational resources support the UK and international schools in educating the whole school community – including senior leaders, teachers, school staff and parents – on how to make the internet a safer place for children.

Quoting Benjamin Burgess, the Online Safeguarding Coordinator at SISQ,

Achieving National Online Safety Certified School status for a second consecutive year is something that we’re really proud of. The process of certification demands a high level of engagement from both staff and parents and the level of commitment shown from all involved has been amazing.

Meanwhile, Head of School Dr James W Pilton said that the safety and well-being of students is a top priority.

We are pleased to have our efforts to keep children safe while working online recognised by this prestigious organisation. A big thank you goes out to all staff, students and parents who contribute to making SISQ a safe and welcoming environment.
