This exhibition is features Sara Al Obaidly after her three-month residency at the prestigious International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York. What Remains is a self-initiated project borne out of her journey across the island of Madagascar in 2016. Travelling from the capital Antananarivo and on to Belo Sur Mer, Al Obaidly covered over 800-km by land, river and sea. Featuring Qatari artist Faraj Daham, after his month-long residency at What about Art? Foundation in Mumbai, as part of the ongoing Qatar-India 2019 Year of Culture. The exhibition addresses the concept of historical concealment and exclusion through a qualitative approach between what is visible and what is real. Open Studio Night at the Fire Station

Open Studio Night is a public event held twice per residency at the Fire Station Artist in Residence. The residency programme, currently in its fifth year, is a nine-month programme that aims to cultivate local talents by providing artists with studios, curatorial guidance, mentorship and fabrication facilities. During Open Studio Night, community members will have access to the studios and an opportunity to meet the artists and get an overview of the artists diverse creative processes.
