School Admissions Are Open!

Virtual School Admissions for the 2020/21 school year are now open! Usually, parents would be visiting new schools for their children to attend in September. However, due to the COVID-19 lockdown, visiting schools and meeting with staff and administrators has been put on hold. So how are parents supposed to choose a new school for their kids? 

Thankfully many of the wonderful schools in Qatar have adapted to the current situation and are now providing online or virtual services to get all the answers you need before applying. The following list of schools and nurseries are holding virtual admissions, tours and e-meetings to answer all your questions and queries.

They have two branches: one in Ain Khalid and the other in Al Khor. Each nursery a clean, safe, welcoming environment with plenty of natural light, age-appropriate furniture of international quality, easy access to outdoor play areas, and much more!

During the month of July, Acorn Nursery will be posting a fun activity for your kids to try at home on their Facebook page. Hopefully they will also start their Summer Camp soon so your kids can get back to nursery and have fun!

ACS International School Doha

ACS are running a series of Virtual Open Days to introduce prospective parents to their brand new campus which is opening in August! The Open Day virtual tour will guide parents and families around the new campus, and showcase all it’s exciting new state-of-the-art facilities. Doha British School

The Doha British School Ain Khaled Campus is now accepting applications for the Academic Year 2020-2021. Admissions are open for all year groups from pre-school to Year 13. You can now apply for admission to DBS through their online Admissions Process.

Hamilton International School

The Hamilton International School (THIS) is another fine option for your children. Online Courses for Kids:

In addition to signing your kids up for the 2020-21 school year, you might want to give them a head start this summer by signing them up for some online courses.

British Council

Primary Plus Online was developed by a team of English experts, to spark your child’s imagination, so they can express themselves with a confidence that goes beyond their English language skills. The courses range from one-week to six-weeks in length with Immersive classes with expert teachers to boost English speaking skills for kids aged 6 – 11 years old.

Secondary Plus Online are classes to learn English for teens aged 12-17 years old. Kids will attend live online classes with British Council teachers and study independently on their interactive platform.
