Vodafone Qatar is the official partner of the AAMeghessib Back-2-Back E-sports tournament for the third consecutive year.
The tournament was named after Red Bull Player Ahmed Al Meghessib, Qatar National e-Sports Team captain, footballer and one of the region’s best e-sports players. The tournament started on 5 August and will run until this Friday, 26 August.
Born from players for players, AAMeghessib Back-2-Back is a unique e-sport platform for gamers on PlayStation 5 in Qatar. The format of the game is to create a two-player team and compete in qualifiers, which will then lead to the national final.
According to Vodafone Qatar Head of Media Relations Ali Attiq Al-Abdulla, they are proud to partner with events such as the AAmeghessib Back-2-Back tournament. He said that the partnership is an extension of Vodafone’s continued efforts to support e-sports and lead innovation in the country, whilst promoting the role of sports and healthier society, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The national final will be held at Virtuocity in Doha Festival City on Friday, 26 August.
