WOQOD Vehicles Inspection (FAHES) has renewed its contract with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), extending their mandatory annual vehicle inspections service for five years, from 2018 until 2023.

According to WOQOD CEO Engineer Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, FAHES has delivered distinguished service in their past tenure, by building more stations with the latest global technology and making it more convenient for customers, through the implementation of the single-window system. This resulted in reducing the travelling and waiting time for renewal of registration certificate. They have also enhanced customer satisfaction by investing in training their workforce, enabling them to keep up with the latest developments in testing techniques, vehicle models and technologies.

Engineer Al Muhannadi said they started the inspection service in 2003 with one permanent station in the industrial area, comprising of only six lanes and three mobile units. Today, they have seven permanent stations across Qatar (Industrial area, Mesaimeer West, Wadi Al Banat, Al Wukair, Al Wakra Al Shahaniya and Al Egda), with 36 lanes and five mobile units. WOQOD, he said, recognises that the need to build more station is imminent with the growing population, and in line with Qatar Vision 2030. He said that the contract for the construction Fahes Al Mazrooaa Centre has been awarded, and WOQOD is currently engaged in the planning for the Fahes Mowater City project.

We thank the Ministry of Interior and the people of Qatar for their trust in us since 2003. We feel proud to be playing an active role in enhancing the traffic safety in the State of Qatar, ensuring the technical fitness of vehicles used on our roads.’
