Younger Children Now Allowed to Visit 31st Doha International Book Fair
According to a Tweet from the Qatar Ministry of Culture, ‘children are allowed to attend the Doha International Book Fair, taking all safety measures, and the exhibition management will take all measures to preserve the safety of children by providing enough ventilation at the exhibition centre’.
The total number of children permitted at a time inside the fair should be a maximum of 15% of the total capacity, and should accompany their parents or groups through schools.
Capacity of the exhibition at all times is 2,000 visitors, according to the Ministry of Public Health. Doors will be closed upon reaching the full capacity if the total number is reached inside the exhibition halls. Previously, children were not allowed entry as they were not vaccinated.
This year’s exhibition is participated by 37 countries and 430 publishing houses, organised by the Qatar Ministry of Culture as represented by Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Center. It follows the slogan, ‘Knowledge is Light’.
Entry to the exhibition will be through pre-registration and registration code for the visit will be received via email. Please note that the code is valid only during the specified day.
