Qatar’s first youth-run social enterprise The Youth Company is running a conference called ‘Youth Change Everything’ on Friday the 2nd and Saturday 3rd of March. The conference has been organised in partnership with INJAZ Qatar, which provides hands-on learning in finance and leadership, and is sponsored by Qatar First Investment Bank (QFIB).

Emad Mansour (below), the CEO of QFIB said, ‘We place great importance on developing the youth as they are the future leaders. The youth nowadays are faced with great challenges, mainly limited job opportunities.  Such a platform will empower youth to unleash their talent and develop their skills to become innovative entrepreneurs.’

The conference will gather 200 high school and Carnegie Mellon University Qatar students to focus on developing leadership and entrepreneurship skills and will give the students an unconventional platform to strike up a dialogue with business leaders. The CEO of The Youth Company, Mohamed Farid (below) thanked INJAZ Qatar and QFIB for their support and said, ‘Being a company which strives to empower and develop young people we are always focused on creating life-changing and long-lasting experiences for youth.’

On the first day of the conference there will be workshops on leadership and on the second day INJAZ will lead an ‘Innovation Camp’. Aysha Al Mudehki (below) the Executive Director of INJAZ commented that the unique programme was originally developed with Barclay’s Bank. ‘It allows students to work in teams to address a specific business challenge. Each team, mentored by a corporate volunteer, prepares a business plan which is pitched to a panel of judges. Teams are judged based on the most creative and feasible idea,’ she continued.

We wish them good luck!
