Zero Casualties on Tawar Mall Construction Fire Incident
After a fire broke out on the second floor of the under-construction Tawar Mall, in Al Duhail area, late morning on 20 July 2016, management of the mall confirmed that the small fire was put out successfully, without having any casualties.
Jassim bin Jabr Sultan Tawar Al Kuwari, the Chairman of Tawar Mall, said:
Tawar Mall is grateful that there were no casualties. Due to the prompted evacuation of construction workers on the site and the staff from the asset no injuries and no serious damage happened. I wish to express my appreciation to the authorities for their immediate and professional support and prompt reaction as with this, they have ensured the safety of everyone.’
Al Kuwari added:
As it was a small fire, that was immediately controlled, no construction delays will be announced. Tawar Mall is equipped with most developed equipment to protect the mall and to deal with these kind of accidents, and of course civil defence has a major role to provide the mall with safety and security systems to ensure the safety and security of our visitors during their visit, as it is one of our major aspect.’
The upcoming Tawar Mall will introduce more than 312 shops and restaurants.
