3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum Director Abdulla Yousef Al Mulla

In an effort to strengthen Qatar’s physical literacy and enhance its relationship with schools, Qatar Museums organised a two-day workshop at 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum to establish sustained communication with physical educators and foster an environment that values and promotes physical literacy among the youth in Qatar.

More than 120 physical education teachers from both international and government schools participated in the workshops.

According to 3-2-1 Museum Director Abdulla Yousuf Al Mulla, physical literacy is crucial to healthy living. He said that being physically active and health-conscious is a choice people can make at any age. However, he said that they want to offer the choice to people from the earliest possible moment through education.

We look forward to playing a pivotal role in enhancing and promoting physical education, and working alongside physical education teachers who build such special bonds with their students and have the power to influence the future health of our country.

Following the workshops, workshop participants met with the museum’s Learning and Outreach team and were taken on a guided tour around the museum.
