Director General of Public Security (DGPS) Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al-Khulaifi, witnessed the graduation of new police recruits held at the Police Training Institute, recently. He congratulated the graduates and called on young Qataris to join the force. 

Major Ali Saud Al-Hanzab, Assistant Director of the Police Training Institute also expressed his pride in the new graduates.

The course was aimed to prepare and qualify the security personnel to a level that suits our security requirements, within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030. This is the main pillar in the security strategy.’

He said that the recruits who attended the foundation course were given operational training to make them the most efficient and and the most competent to carry out the duties of maintaining security and safety of the community. Major Ali Saud Al-Hanzab also thanked the graduates for their discipline and their continuous quest for success, evident from their achievements.

The course aims to prepare the recruits with skills to carry out functions efficiently and effectively. The course includes sports and military training, and lectures on the Qatari Penal Code, criminal investigation, police operations, rights and duties of security function, security and art of dealing with the public, as well as classes on first aid, police communications, computer and civil protection.

Outstanding graduates were also honoured during the ceremony. Adnan Al-Shaghdari received the award for being top of his class, while Muhammad Ali Jarallah Al-Marri was given the ideal student award. Mohammed Riyad Goudi is best Sports Person and Abdul Noor Muallim is Best Military Person.
