Qatar Airways’ Al Darb Qatarisation Programme and Rolls-Royce hosted two successful training programmes at the Rolls-Royce Learning and Development facility in Derby, United Kingdom earlier this month. The programme was designed to enable Al Darb Qatarisation participants learn from Rolls Royce’s leadership and expertise. Rolls-Royce is one of the airline’s strategic partners.

The annual Business Management and Commercial Awareness training courses, which took place over five days each, saw 40 top Al Darb candidates fly to the UK to participate, as part of the airline’s commitment to develop future leaders of the national carrier.

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President for Human Resources Nabeela Fakhri said that their partnership with Rolls-Royce continues to grow and develop, and they are proud to be able to offer bespoke training to nationals not only in Doha, but outside of the country as well.

This year, we flew out 40 of our top nationals from the Al Darb Qatarisation Programme to the UK, twice the number from last year. Again, our nationals excelled during the training and were exposed to invaluable knowledge from the best professionals.

At Qatar Airways, we are dedicated to providing our nationals with the necessary training and development, and are excited to see them continue to grow and develop info future leaders of the airline.’

Rolls-Royce Head of Customer Leadership Development, Dr David Ashworth added that they too, are proud to support Qatar Airways’ Al Darb Qatarisation programme.
