Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) kicked off a mind-blowing festival on Tuesday, entitled Aspire Wonderland Festival. It saw tremendous success as 5,000 visitors flocked Aspire park to watch animated fantasy characters depicted using state-of-the-art lighting techniques.
As the sun descended on Tuesday, an imaginary gateway to the world of fantasy and folk tales was open to the public with innovative light techniques. At the centre of Aspire Park lies Aspire Lake, featuring a spectacular dancing water fountain moving with a world of majestic melodies.
Tahani Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, a member of the organising committee, commented:
We seek innovative and creative angles when organising community events at Aspire to ensure a memorable experience. Our interest in the smallest details begins when choosing artistic shows that suit all age groups. A few weeks ago, we celebrated the Aspire International Kite Festival and now we have added a new and distinctive event to the country’s agenda of entertainment and tourism activities.’
Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy the dancing fountain shows again on 27 – 28 March at 5 pm, 6:40 pm, 7:40 pm, 8:40 pm, 9:40 pm, and 10:40 pm. There will also be additional weekend shows at 11:40 pm on Friday and Saturday.
The festival is sponsored by Vodafone Qatar and Katara and is scheduled to last until 30 March, with an open invitation to the public daily from 5 pm – 10 pm.
