Qatar Culinary Professionals in partnership with IFP organised the largest culinary competition in Qatar earlier this month in celebration of Hospitality Qatar, Qatar’s premier International Hospitality and HORECA Trade Show! 

The salon took place on 12–14 November 2019 and featured competitions, and live demonstrations dedicated for top local and international chefs to showcase their skills and artistry across various categories.

Marriott Marquis City Center Doha and JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha

Over 30 chefs from Marriott Marquis City Center Doha and JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha participated in the Salon Culinaire, which attracts Qatar’s leading chefs to compete across thirty categories while being evaluated by international judges.

The Marriott Marquis City Center Doha and JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha were once again delighted to announce its culinary team’s outstanding talents by achieving a winning number of 24 medals.

The hotels’ chefs competed in a series of events and categories and managed to get a total of 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 15 bronze medals for the following categories:

Gold Medals:

Chef Ozkan Burak from Marriott Marquis City Center Doha received two Gold Medals for Live Cooking Signature Beef Dish and Live Cooking Signature Seafood Dish.

Chef Rimba Cahaya Ramadhan from JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha received Gold Medal for Live Cooking Signature Lamb Dish.
