Amir Berbić, the Dean at VCUarts Qatar welcomed the students and their families, saying,

This is my first Dean’s List celebration as your new Dean, and I am so pleased to be here to recognise and congratulate such an impressive group of young scholars. You are the best and the brightest among our talented and dedicated students. It is no small honour to be on the Dean’s list – as Dean’s List students you set the standard for all other students.

I also want to say congratulations to the parents and families of our Dean’s List students. Your encouragement and support, from their early years to today, have no doubt played an important role in their academic success. You can take a well-deserved pat on the back for a job well done!’

In her speech to the students, Dr Valerie Jeremijenko, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs said:

For our current sophomores who achieved this result as freshmen, we are so impressed by the start you have made to your academic career, and we have high hopes for all of you. For our new juniors who excelled in their sophomore year. Your continued hard work and dedication is paying off. You will soon be entering the two most challenging years of your undergraduate studies, and we wish you all the best. We have every confidence in you.

For our cherished seniors, you are now the standard-bearers for the school. As our Senior Dean’s list students, you are the role models for all of our upcoming students. It is a serious responsibility, but you have shown us time and time again that you are up for the challenge.’
