Ensuring progress of equality between men and women is one of the top priorities of the French diplomacy. Today, women are a catalyst of change in all areas. This is the reason why we believe that the question of equality between men and women has to be integrated into different policies: sustainable development, peace and security, defence, promotion of fundamental rights, climate change and economy, and also sport.

The second part of the Forum to be held at the Workington Mshereib will be transformative and include interactive and engaging workshops to drive action. This part of the event will be free and open to all who register on the Doha Women Forum Website.

Doha Women Forum Founder Conchita Ponce said:

It is a great pleasure for us to host the Doha Women Forum once again. Climate change is one the most pressing issues of our times, and as it happens in every crisis, women are the worst affected. Despite sports being a great equaliser, there is a lot of gender bias in world sports. At the Doha Women Forum this year, we are aiming to use the medium of sports to bring about gender equality, while at the same time call for action to reduce gender bias in sports. We have a wonderful set of speakers lined up this year, who are experts in their field and are sure to make the event a memorable and a successful one.

Doha Women Forum 2021 was focussed on the theme ‘Challenging Gender Bias and Inequality’ which will be a call for action to resolve some of the pressing issues faced by women in the workplace and society. The multi-platform event was attended by hundreds of women and included distinguished speakers from different walks of life.

This year’s event is organised by Wasl Events and Marketing and supported by Turkish Airlines as Strategic Partner, in cooperation with Naseem Healthcare and Deloitte Middle East.
