(UPDATED) On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, the Amiri Diwan announced that the Eid holiday for ministries, government entities and public institutions start on 9 May. The holiday ends on 18 May. Employees are to resume their work on 19 May.

Qatar Central Bank, meanwhile, announced that the Eid Al Fitr holiday for banks, currency exchanges, insurance companies, finance, investment, and financial consultants, will start this Wednesday, 12 May and will end on Sunday, 16 May. All financial institutions will return to work on Monday, 17 May. All financial institutions operating in the state must fully close all their branches during the vacation period, according to the announcement.
