Qatar celebrates the annual National Sports Day every second Tuesday of February, dedicating the special day to sports and sports-related activities that promote the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle.

National Sports Day, which falls on 14 February this year, is a public holiday.

This year’s celebrations will have fewer restrictions following a favourable turn in the country’s COVID-19 situation. Everyone, however, is still expected to practice prudence to avoid a surge in infections.
