The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is implementing a set of new measures to improve the entry and waiting process for patients wanting to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at the National Vaccination Center located at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

In a tweet, MoPH announced that several government agencies are taking part in the implementation of new measures. These include Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation, the Ministry of Interior, Al Fazaa, MADLSA, QNCC and Qatar Red Crescent.

The new measures are part of the effort to protect the safety of the public and the medical personnel working at the vaccination centre.

Waiting area

A more improved arrival and waiting space will be made available on the ground floor, with separate waiting areas for men and women. To avoid exposure to high outdoor temperatures and provide a safe waiting area for everyone, the main parking spots are now being utilised as a point of arrival at the vaccination centre.

A cafeteria service is also now available to the public while they wait to receive their vaccination.

Patients will receive an SMS showing the time and date of their appointment and must present their valid QID card when they go to the centre to receive their vaccination. The National Vaccination Center at QNCC is open from 7 am until 10 pm, seven days a week.

Recently, MoPH also temporarily waived the requirement for a Hamad Health Card for individuals wanting to get vaccinated.
