Italian national Patrizia Hofer has been appointed General Manager of the soon-to-open Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Doha, part of Marriott International’s luxury portfolio. She brings with her almost 20 years of international luxury hotel experience.

During an international career in the highly competitive luxury hospitality market, Hofer has honed the refined interpersonal skills required to satisfy the needs of high profile guests. She has a strong focus on customer service delivery and operational excellence which is complemented by an inherent ability to exude warmth, friendliness, and reliability in her roles.

According to Hofer, she is proud to be working for the world’s best luxury brand and that she intend to build a work environment which creates authentic moments for guests, guiding them on transformative journeys that touch their spirits and enrich their lives.

The new GM holds degrees in Tourism and Economics, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and a Masters’ in Hotel Management. She began her career in Spain with luxury Stein Group Hotels before joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. She has participated in the opening of several iconic properties including The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong and The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo. She has worked in major-name luxury properties such as Bulgari Milano and the Hotel Arts Barcelona.

She has a keen understanding of the markets of Qatar and the Middle East, having served at The Ritz-Carlton Doha for three years, rising to the rank of Hotel Manager and serving as a Board Member of The Ritz-Carlton Room Advisory for Middle East and Africa.
