Qatar Airways is the Official Airline Partner of the 47th Amir Cup, one of the most highly-anticipated annual football events, currently underway in Qatar until 16 May.

The national carrier hosted the Amir Cup Trophy in a fun-filled day of activities at its headquarters in Doha and at Hamad International Airport (HIA). Qatar Airways employees engaged and captured memorable moments with the trophy to promote the importance of the tournament as a means of bringing people together.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, HE Akbar Al Baker, said their partnership with Qatar Football Association (QFA), the organisers of the tournament, demonstrates their continuing engagement and dedication to sponsoring world-class sporting events and teams, within and outside Qatar.

QFA President, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, said they are excited to partner with one of Qatar’s leading companies for another edition of the Amir Cup.
