Qatar Duty Free (QDF) is named the founding partner of the MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2023, playing a pivotal role in supporting the world-renowned motorsport event hosted at the state-of-the-art Lusail International Circuit. The final race weekend will take place this weekend, from 17 to 19 November.

Under the terms of the three-year sponsorship agreement signed in September 2023, QDF is officially assigned to support two major motorsport events hosted at Lusail International Circuit, which include:

  • Formula 1® Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix, which took place in October of this year
  • MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar

With this partnership, QDF will benefit from vast brand exposure to millions of people tuning in through global TV. In addition, the world-leading travel retailer will also receive prominent brand visibility throughout the iconic racing venue.

QDF Senior Vice President Thabet Musleh said they are proud to support the MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar.

Our partnership with Lusail International Circuit took place this year, starting with Formula 1, which was undoubtedly a great success.

The Lusail International Circuit has undergone comprehensive renovation and development earlier this year, offering an exceptional experience for drivers and fans. Since its renovation, the circuit has hosted the Formula 1® Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023 and now the MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2023, both supported by QDF.

QDF has shown an unwavering commitment to the sports industry in Qatar by supporting prestigious events such as the Qatar Women’s Total Open, the Qatar Men’s ExxonMobil Open tennis tournaments, and the Ooredoo Qatar Major Premier Padel Tournament.

Last month, QDF was named the founding partner of the Formula 1® Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix, as part of its sponsorship agreement with the Lusail International Circuit.
