The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) announced the launch of the Aspire Command and Control Centre for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ stadiums during a press conference in Aspire Zone this Sunday.

According to the Command Centre Director Hamad Ahmed al-Mohannadi, the centre will manage and supervise all operations of the World Cup Stadiums and ensure its readiness for the big event next year and all sporting events hosted by Qatar in the future.

The centre houses the electromechanical and building control systems, manages stadium security operations and follows up on all information and communication systems and infrastructure for these facilities, in addition to periodic maintenance operations and performance indicator activities.

SC Director of Security (Facilities Operation Department) Engineer Abdullah Mubarak Al Mohannadi said that the opening of the centre confirms that all aspects of the centre’s operations are ready.

Director of Applications and Communication Engineer Hani Chahal said that the centre is the first of its kind in the world, given its capabilities to manage many stadiums.

The centre allows for monitoring and controlling services at several stadiums simultaneously. It can provide facilities management, security and safety and information transmission for fans and visitors. The operational capabilities of the centre will significantly impact the success of all sporting events held in facilities connected to the centre.
