The Library is also holding several events throughout the fair. On 18 January, the workshop, What Will We Hear Tonight? will help parents conduct exciting storytime sessions with their children. Also on the same day, parents can attend the lecture, Choosing the Right Children’s Books and learn about the stages of development of child literacy and how to select the best books for young readers. On 20 January, parents and educators can learn about the developmental characteristics of gifted children and the role of the community in nurturing them.

The Library’s booth will also host smaller activities on 18 January, including Chess Club, Kitchen Science, storytime and crafting.

According to the Library’s Research and Learning Services Director Abeer Saad Al Kuwari, they are always excited to participate in the book fair. He said that this year’s events offer something for everyone.

We welcome visitors of all ages to join us in expressing creativity, exploring Qatar and its history, and sharing their favourite books. This is a great opportunity for the community to learn together in a fun and welcoming environment.
