Qatar Tourism launched the Arabic version of its immersive Visit Qatar mobile application, which offers users a handy guide to the country’s offerings.
The new app introduces an integrated calendar of events, which allows users to explore events around Qatar and save them in a personal folder. This is part of their wider digital transformation strategy, which employs an innovative approach and utilises cutting edge technology to develop digital platforms and establish itself as an industry leader.
This first-of-its-kind app uses cloud-based Adobe Experience Manager capabilities which use data to tailor experiences to users. Designed as a user-centric digital travel companion, the app is now available in Arabic as well as in English, allowing those in and out of the country to explore Qatar’s diverse offerings such as heritage sites, adventure, retail, and rich culinary scene, and events that will be taking place in the country.
The app offers 360-degree views of iconic sites around the country, allowing users to immerse themselves in a neighbourhood or view a site from the comfort of their own homes. Users can also use the map assistant to plan their stay and enjoy personalised recommendations based on their preferences.
Berthold Trenkel from Qatar Tourism said that the newly launched Arabic version of the Visit Qatar mobile app is an exciting addition to their growing digital platforms.
Whether a resident in Qatar or considering it for a break, the app offers a taste of the destination, with personalisation services, 360 views and an integrated events calendar. Qatar Tourism continues to collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the tourism experience in Qatar through utilising the latest technology and offering innovative, inspiring content to audiences.
The app is available free of charge for Apple and Android users. It can be downloaded via the App Store and via Google Play.
