Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) announced its calendar of sports events for 2022 including 62 sports events with 36 international sports events and the FIFA World Cup Qatar™ 2022, which will be held from 21 November to 18 December.
The QOC’s 2022 calendar also includes a series of international sports events, such as the Turkish Super Cup, King Of Court Crown Series – Beach Volleyball, 1st Qatar Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour, 2nd Qatar Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour, Qatar Fencing Grand Prix 2022-Epee, and QSF 1 Psa Satellite Senior1k-Squash.
International sports events continue to flow into the capital of sports Doha, including Qatar ExxonMobil Open- Tennis, Commercial Bank International Equestrian Championship – A Shaqab, 14th Taishan World Cup Artistic Gymnastics, Longines World Tour Show Jumping Championship – Al Shaqab.
Doha will host more international sport events, including FIBA 3×3 World Cup Qualifier Asia 2022 – Basketball, Diamond League Doha Tour, QSF 3 Psa Challenger Senior 20k – Squash, Qatar Men’s International Handball Championship, Qatar 7th International Cup – Weightlifting, and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters – 25th edition – Golf.
On other hand, Doha will also be the host city of the International Conference of the International Association of Sports Management.
On the Asian level, Doha will host 1st Qatar Asian Junior- Tennis, 2nd Qatar Asian Junior Tournament- Tennis, FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Pre- Qualifiers (first ) – Basketball, Qatar Junior Open Squash, and FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Pre- Qualifiers (second) – Basketball.
On the GCC level, Doha will host GCC Squash Tournament Senior & Junior under 17 and GCC Women’s cricket Championship.
Moreover, the newly-released calendar also includes a huge number of local events including Ultimate Race (CrossFit), and Ultimate Race (Triathlon), National Sports Day on 8 February, HH the Amir Sword Equestrian, QOC Beach Games, HH the Amir Basketball Cup final, the closing ceremony of Olympic Schools Program on 30 March, Qatar Volleyball Cup final, the Amir Football Cup final, HH the Amir Volleyball Cup final, Qatar Handball Cup Final, HH the Amir Handball Cup final, Sport Excellency Awards, Health and Fitness Program, Flag Relay and Qatar Football Cup Final.
