Mezza, the heart of Lebanese culinary tradition, presents a delightful variety of small plates that are perfect as starters or combined to create a complete meal. Bebabel’s Monday Mezza Night is an ideal occasion for a light and satisfying evening of dining, offering guests a medley of flavours without the weight of a full-course meal.

Celebrated for its Lebanese fare, Bebabel enhances the experience with its sophisticated ambience within the luxurious surroundings of The St. Regis Doha.

As we stepped into the restaurant, welcoming hosts promptly showed us to our seats. The ambience was inviting, with soft lighting and contemporary decor. To accommodate different preferences, the restaurant offers designated non-smoking and smoking sections – including a space for those who like to indulge in shisha during their meal.

After being seated, we were promptly served cold water along with a platter of hummus and chips. We chose a trio of hot appetisers and another trio of cold ones; to our delight, the service from Yuwan and Hela was swift and the dishes quickly arrived at our table. The spread included hummus with pesto, vine leaves, eggplant moussaka, tomato kafta with hummus, eggplant fatteh, and crispy cheese rolls.

Even with the array of appetisers satisfying these foodies’ palates, we ventured on to the main course, choosing grilled meat that was both tender and flavourful. This addition to our meal perfectly complemented the earlier dishes and added a Mediterranean touch to the overall dining experience.
