This unique culinary festival, Flavours of MO has been tantalising tastebuds at the Mandarin Oriental, Doha since the festival began on 1 October.

The Chefs Are Coming To Town!

Chef Izu Ani
IZU, 18 October

With a grounding in traditional French cooking and a passion for high-quality ingredients, Chef Izu has become one of the Middle East’s most celebrated chefs. Chef Izu has opened his own restaurants in Dubai and Qatar, where IZU at Mandarin Oriental, Doha showcases his innovative use of flavours and techniques.

Chef Kan Chi Kwan
Liang, 9 – 21 October

With an extensive knowledge of Chinese and Beijing food culture, Chef Kan is regarded as one of the pioneers of Provincial Cuisine. Using both his culinary experience and flare for flavour, he creates innovative variations of classic, time-honoured Beijing dishes with a contemporary twist.

Chef Joe Barza
Mosaic, 25 – 28 October

Credited with bringing Lebanese cuisine to the global stage, Chef Barza frequently travels the world as a culinary consultant, working with restaurants on their menus, kitchens and training practices. For Chef Barza, every project is a challenge as he seeks to push the boundaries and introduce new signature culinary trends.

Baraha Lounge, Mandarin Lounge & The Mandarin Cake Shop, 7 – 17 October

With a true passion for pastry, Chef Amine is one of the most exciting new patisserie stars in the world. Born in Morocco, Chef Amine learned alongside pastry world champions such as Jean Michel Perruchon Pascal Molines and Pascal Lac. Perfecting his pastry skills next to these legends confirmed for Amine that the art of pastry is a continuous learning journey.

Chef Brice Konan-Ferrand
Baraha Lounge, Mandarin Lounge & The Mandarin Cake Shop, 16 – 31 October

Keen to showcase his art, in 2014, Chef Brice took part in the popular French TV show “Qui Sera le Prochain Grand Pâtissier” where he came fifth. As his pastry-making skills and experience grew, Brice worked with Maison Bouillet and as a pastry chef, as well as a pastry and chocolate instructor. Having shared his passion at L’École Valrhona in Tokyo for over 6 years, he is now based in Dubai.
