Qatar’s pioneering homebuilding and renovation event, the Build Your House Exhibition is all set to welcome visitors to its third edition from 28 to 30 March at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

This dynamic three-day show brings leading industry experts, government entities and Qatari nationals together under one roof. Visitors will gain expert advice, discover the latest architectural and interior trends, connect to consultants that can lead their projects, and procure the materials they need to build their dream home.

Unwavering government support

Since its inception in 2020, the BYH Exhibition has had unwavering support from the government and this high-level backing has provided a solid foundation for the future of the exhibition. As a result, each edition has grown in stature, increasing the range of exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, contractors, and participating government entities – and attracting an increasing number of visitors. This year, guests can expect the same high standards of knowledge sharing, participation and support.

Consultants, contractors and suppliers can also look forward to an increasing interest in new builds, renovations and construction materials. Despite setbacks caused by the global pandemic, Qatar’s construction sector bounced back in 2021.

Data from the Planning and Statistics Authority shows that as many as 9,500 building permits were issued during last year. This year, those numbers are predicted to increase as the country’s economy grows, which is set to impact the construction sector during the run-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

New milestones

Speaking on BYH Exhibition 2022, NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences co-founder and General Manager Rawad Sleem said they expect to reach new milestones with this third edition.

Each edition of the exhibition has generated an estimated value of QAR400 million worth of signed deals, enabling BYH Exhibition to assert itself as an event where business takes place.

Given the strong support we have received from past and new participants, we are positive that this number will be exceeded in 2022.

Qatari homebuilders can look forward to discovering more about the latest innovations in smart home technology via the exhibition’s Knowledge Sharing Conference. In addition to a varied programme of speakers, masterclasses and live demos sharing expertise and insights, this year’s edition includes a virtual conference themed Future & Smart Living. Based on the rising trend for user-friendly features and tech-oriented residential properties, the Future & Smart Living Conference will feature the latest innovation, which offers a cost-effective and energy-saving living environment for homeowners and families.

Vital platform

BYH Exhibition is a vital platform that stimulates the housebuilding industry, inspires learning and development, and enables Qatari homebuilders to tap into smart solutions and sustainable materials to construct homes fit for the future. Visitors can gain information about the complete construction cycle from planning through design, explore new trends, compare materials, and hire the contracts they need to execute their new build or renovation.

More exhibition programme details will be released in the coming weeks. Among the highlights this year is the Junior Designer Competition, which seeks to encourage creativity and enable students to hone their interior design skills. More information about the exclusive prize-winning raffle draw, which is open to all event attendees, will also be released.

Public safety

BYH Exhibition will strictly follow guidance and regulation issued by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and ensure that the venue is sanitised twice each day. The health status of participants and visitors via the Ehteraz app will also be checked prior to their entry to the venue. Masks should be worn at all times. Visitors will also have to pre-register to attend the event, allowing event organisers to monitor the capacity of the exhibition halls.

The third edition of the BYH Exhibition is open from 10 am to 10 pm at QNCC Halls 8 and 9, from 28 to 30 March. Find out more about the exhibition at buildyourhouseqatar.com
